yes, I used Daisy as my everyday car, at one point I was doing over 1k miles per WEEK. She is in for a full respray at the mo so using my Saggy. About 200-500 per week.How many people here use their TVR as an every day car (i.e do 10k or more miles a year)?

Both no issues, just keep checking the oil and water and tyre pressures.

Tamora, 2 years old April 6 and 35k on the clock. As near as dammit my everyday car; sometimes I need more than 2 seats which means the mileage has been kept down to only 18k per year.
Yep - keep checking the levels and drive sensibly in bad weather. I'm intending to take mine to London for the week, leaving home (near Bournemouth) about 5 tomorrow morning so will probably be picking up all sorts of cr@p weather but as i only need space for me, there's no contest about which car to take.

In use most days, I go out meaning to drive something else then think "Oh sod it, life's too short" and take the t350.
22,000 miles in 2 years.
Problems:
1) leaking radiator, would have been a warranty repair if TVR still existed but replacement is much better.
2) failed microswitch in door (window doesn't drop) fixed in 10 mins
3) broken throttle cable, repaired at roadside by RAC (I'm well impressed) and replaced later for little cost.
The more I drive it the better it seems to get.
I'm still grinning.

I do about 250 miles a week in mine. I've only hade 2 fuse problems.
The 100amp fuse from the alternator failed and a couple of months later the power steering fuse failed(the one 80/100amp one near the battery). It's probably worth checking their condition before they fail.
Both times I fitted a new fuse and fuse holder, the fuse holders seem to fall apart which is probably why the fuse is failing.
Oh yeah my speedo screen went blank which just needed the ribbon lead plug cleaning.

I've had my Tam for nearly three months now and have done about 1K. It is my only car and I hate having to use it for every day stuff, especially when it's pouring down. Seems like a waste and don't like putting unnessary miles on it. Have taken to cycling to work instead. I maybe crazy, but this is saving mileage and the whopping fuel bill and keeps me fit. This wasn't the plan when I bought her tho...

Tuscan S mk1 and then T350C totalling 4.5 years of daily use.
Every weekday day for commuting and longer business trips from London to Manchester,Liverpool etc. and weekends for shopping and fun....mostly fun.
They are fine for regular use,possibly even better than just used as weekend specials.

Same as you NTEL, but in my case its bags of cement and building stuff, but still manage about 10,000 k a year, 2,500 of those are done blasting around Spain and Portugal plus trackday at Guadix early April for the last 5 years Brilliant.

Don't drive every day but every day I drive I drive my TVR. It's just coming up to four years old and just on 80,000 miles. I've been dong about 20,000 TVR miles a year for over 10 years despite making an effort to not make unnecessary car journeys if/when the bicycle, train or tube makes more sense. But if I'm driving, it's the TVR.

An inspiration to any doubters.My T350 is my only car and everydar car. At the end of the day they are not German but most problems are actually just little niggles and I am an avid beleiver that TVR's are much better when driven regularly. You will add more mileage and arguably things wil wear out quicker but hey what are they there for, to be driven and enjoyed, and I certainly do that - even though actually a lot more responsibly than I have driven any of my previous BM's.
If I had a 2nd car I cannot think of a time when I would choose not to take the TVR. If your clever and check history - I mean with the mech(s) that have serviced the car they should know the cars inside out and hopefully any issues that do present will be more of an annoyance than a hindrance.

Since buying my Sag in August 2006 I've driven it every day. Just turned 23k miles. Every day I turn up to work with a smile on my face and no matter what the days been like the drive home always tops the day. Continues to run like a dream and since de-catting it last year the smiles per mile continue to increase not just from me but everyone who claps eyes on the car! So, don't leave them in the garage - the UK deserves more TVRs on the road, consider it a public service!
