T350 Seatbelts?

Hello...

Both my passanger and drivers seatbelts are locking, so bad it take 5 minutes before you can set off, once away you can't move an inch in the seat.

I am hoping someone can tell me what car the belts came from in the T350 so I can get a couple either second hand or from the dealers.

My passenger side sticks sometimes too, fine for me but it drives the Miss's mad!

Is this only happening when the car is parked on a slant. i.e. a hill or cambered road?
You'll probably find this will happen but they will be ok on flat ground. If i park on a slope, i have to drive until i come to a flat piece of road before i can put the seatbelt on!

Certain people don't bother wearing their belts for this reason
If you release tension on the belt, and then are really gentle and slow pulling it, it will come eventually

Mine still plays up on flat ground, and it doesn't matter how slowly you pull it, it still sticks. You can get it to work eventually just takes a min or so. Sometimes driving it for a min loosens it up a bit.

There was a fix done under warranty (the good old days) Can't remember what they did other than it involved replacing the unit and or shortening the length of the belt. Used to drive me nuts!

Mine locks when parked pointing downhill, but frees up pretty quickly when I start to move. If yours is a real problem, why not put on a clip of some sort to stop it retracting when you get out.

Thanks for all the feedback, good to see I am not the only one :-)

I bought the car from Castle TVR at the weekend, awesome drive home from Stansted to Edinburgh. Ben at Castle is asking his mechanics and spares guys to see if another car has the same type of seatbelt as the T350, will let you know what I find out.

Mine also only locks up when not on level ground.
Funnily enough my tuscan was exactly the same.

I think a lot of them do this, the trick is to be very gentle with them, incidentally my Griff used to do this sometimes too.

Mine does this.. passenger side worse... and yes, drives the Mrs Mad!!
