Tamora - intermittent internal fan

Hi guys

my tam has developed in intermittent interior fan which in recent weather is not a lot of use. Anyone else experienced this? Easy fix?

Hi Richard.

I've noticed the same problem on mine, but as it kicks in i have'nt
given it much thought as the heating system on my Tam is not what i
would call brilliant, red dot hot on mine is about 75% of what i
would like it to be, just had a new rad fitted so i'll see if that
improves things, be interesting to hear what other Tamora owners think
if a thread gets going here, BTW how did your car limits day go.

Thanks for your response.Went out yesterday and after nailing it through a series of short dual carriageway/roundabout sections and back the fan appeared to work.

Car limits was a fantastic day, spinning all over the place! All for £44. Great value.

Enjoy spain, see you on the trackdays.

If the search was working there are threads on this forum regarding the control box which is located in the passenger foot well. I will have a look through my posting history....

I had a similar fault on my Tam heater/ blower a few years back.
Sometimes it would blow & then not, gradually got worse.
Tried all the connector etc & ended up changing the heater ecu...
No problems since.

My fan is intermittent to. The regulator circuit board is situated under the parcel shelve on the passenger side. It is right at the back and hard to get to, but I sometimes manage to get a hand to it and waggle the wire around till the fan starts working again. Must be a dry joint on the circuit board somewhere.

Think its a dry joint that gives up after is being on for a while.
Un plug it for a couple of minutes to cool; careful it will be hot, then it will work again OK.



I moved mine into the cool air flow in the lower dash, and its only happened once since after 3 hours hot driving.
