Clutch problems!

I've taken my car into Racing green for a full service and a new radiator. I was expecting a call yesterday to say the cat was ready for collection but instead got a call saying they went to take it for a test drive and were struggling to get it into gear. They did what adjustments they could but it still didn't seem right and now they are taking the clutch apart to see what has happened.
The car is on 25k and to my knowledge is on its first clutch so I was kind of expecting problems soon. If they do phone back today to say it needs a new clutch etc. can any of you offer me some advise on a good alternative as I do intend to keep the car and don't want to keep replacing the clutch every 20k?

My clutch went after 22,000 miles in November 2006 during London Thunder. I had the car relayed by the AA to David Hendry in Malmesbury, and had a new AJP clutch fitted. Some of the clutch fingers had broken. I did experience difficulty in engaging gear (especially reverse) before the clutch finally went. Andrew Hendry recommended upgrading the slave cylinder unit aswell, although it didn't need replacing at the time, but it does reduce clutch wear long term.
Cost was Q0365 AJP Clutch Assy Twin Plate £465.75.
TVR012 AJP Alloy Slave Kit £231.20.
So far so good with the new clutch. Done 8,000 miles and have had a RR 4.0L upgrade since having the new clutch fitted. Don't know what the extra horses is going to do with clutch wear, but time will tell. My advice is to get a new clutch fitted because you are experiencing the same symptoms as I had, and you don't want to have to relay the car when the clutch does go. Give Richard/Neil a call at Dulfords, or Andrew at David Hendry.

Is the AJP clutch the standard one? I know the clutch works fine with the car but my issue is it only lasting 20k, or is it unreasonable to expect any clutch to last longer in these cars?
My car is still in Racing Green at the moment and I'm waiting on them to ring me and let me know the score but more than happy for them to do the work if the solution/price is right!
P.S. Hopefully see you at the next meet, Have you decided if you are going to Chatsworth yet? If I can make it we could cruise up together?

Cltuchs seem to last 20-30k depending on usage type. I would take Racing Green's recommendation - they know what they're talking about.
Mine had a replacement clutch at 14k - my dealer is pretty sure the factory bolted an old, worn clutch to my engine when it was at the factory (headgasket went). I have the TVR Power clutch mech with an uprated 'RaceProved' (brand) release bearing. Feels more meaty and positive than std.

Racing green told me that the race clutches are a pain in the arse if you hit any traffic as the clutch bite is very sharp and strong, have you found it difficult?
