Air Conn in Sagaris not working

Where do I start checking? Used to work perfect but failed yesterday after 300 mile round trip to Knockhill. Not particularly warm yesterday, air conn only on for around 30 mins to demist windows.

When air conn switched on at idle (900 rpm) there is no noticeable drop in rpm or engine noise. Doesn't seem to be kicking in.

Any advice greatly received.

If you open your bonnet and try the air con you should be able to hear a clear click when you turn it on. If you are able to get someone else to turn it on whilst you are under the bonnet you are looking and listenning just in front of the engine(between engine and radiator) for air con clutch to kit in. If does not make this noise then the problem lies with the controll side of things in the car. Mine did this and I had a seperate switch fitted in the car that was just linked to the 12v, giving the air con the power feed it needed bypassing all the cars controlls.

Graham, thanks for that, TVRCC is a forum I often forget and only check a couple times a month. PH seems to be the main source of info.

FrancoTam - I will try that, I suspect it isn't kicking in. I do have a faulty trinary switch which is due to be replaced and a/c recharged just before going to Zolder.

Bit of a long shot but you could try going into the set up screens on the pod. In there somewhere (possibly in factory settings) is a function where you can turn the aircon off and on.

Try setting the aircon to off and then start the car. Stop the engine and turn the aircon back to on using the pod and start the car again.

This worked for me when my aircon decided it had had enough in 37 degree heat in the south of France.
