silver 05 saggie at offord

hi anyone know the silver 05 saggie with anthracite alloys at offord? is it theirs or sale or return to someone on here?

Don't know it personally, but looking at the plate looks like it's from Castle TVR? Alloys also look a bit dark, have they been sprayed matt black?

I am prety sure its an ex hire car that i was looking at buying, it was used as a replacement car for people to use who had accidents. From memory it had £4k spent on it back late last year on new cats etc. I didnt buy it as i was concerned that it had not been warmed up properly as a hire car.

A word of caution which might be useful if you plan to sell the car on to a dealer at a latter point in it's life. A few official TVR dealers will not buy speed 6 cars if they have been serviced by Offords - the reason for this is Offords servicing costs being so cheap and the dealers saying that a service cannot be done with tappets for £499.00. Whether the work can or cannot be done for that money is a different story, but there are some dealers who stick by this decision which in turn narrows your margin down when you come to sell it.

That would be ironic as Castles now do a full service with tappets checked for £499

I guess "with Tappets" is meant to mean "adjust tappets". Still £499 is cheap from Castle even with the 1.5hrs labour +VAT for the tappet adjustment. Not sure what a 24 month service is though.

yes i have just checked and that is the same hire car, Ofords have it marked up at over£8500 more than it was sold for!!, you know the old saying the fastest car is always a hire car.
