Steaming T350

Hello!!

I maybe filled up the coolent a little too much the other day to the point you could almost see the fluid in the cylinder thing. Since doing this, I have noticed (on occasions) steam pouring from the front of the car. I know it's coming from the expansion cap as there is spits of water in and around the cap (once I get home and check).

Also, the water temp sits between 95 to 99 in traffic, isn't this a little high?

I read one a previous post someone mentioned that over-fill may result in some water or steam coming out from the cap till the level has balanced, this true?

I have tried to find the "bleeding" valve but for the life of me can't find the screw thing, any advice is appreciated.

Provided she is just spitting it out when hot, I'd just leave her; she'll find her own level!

My temp seems to 'stabilise' between 92 and 97, higher if the air-con is on. No idea of the accuracy of the guage, mind - your 99 might be my 97.

Is the coolant system otherwise working ok?

Yeah, coolant is fine and both fans kicking in around 98 degrees. I checked it earlier and the collant is sitting just below the pipe thingy which is half way down the silver expansion cylinder.

I have seen a few people talk about bleeding the system, just can't find the bleed point...

If you have a T350, just open the bonnet and look down the opening at the front on the drivers side you will see your metal coolant pipe with a 90 deg bend and an allen bolt . this allen bolt is the bleed point.
