Sticky Windows

Evening all

Another week another little niggle in my T350C......

Went to open the doors last night to go the gym when both windows refused to lower allowing the door to open. The mechanism was working as i could see the windows trying to drop. After much effort got the windows to drop enough to open. Then played with them and noticed they are extremely tight to the rubber seals at the top.

Has anyone else had this issue and what did they do to resolve it? Think read somewhere about getting some kind of lubricate?

Try something with silicone in, rubbed onto the rubber strips, I bought some of that 'cockpit shine' spray can stuff. Never goes anywhere neat the 'cockpit' but a bit sprayed on a cloth and rubbed on the rubber, voila. It worked in my Tam anyway!

Agreed back to black (other silicones are available!) rubbed onto a cloth first, then into the rubbers should sort it. Windows can be 'slacked-off' by adjusting the mechanism, but this can result in them missing the roof and going up outside the car when travelling at speed, due to pressure in the cockpit, if too slack, so avoid this option if you can.
