Tamora - Leaking Boot

Hi Guys

The boot of the Tamora is increasingly full of water, moreso on the passenger side yet I can see no way of this getting in.

Has anyone else come across this and fixed it?

Is it to do with the drain 'oles being blocked?

Is it parked on a slope?
On mine the seal doesn't quite meet boot lid and when parked facing up hill lets a little water in but not the amount your talking about. You can't really see it too clearly but what I did was to put an inspection light in the boot, close it and I could see where the seal didn't meet the boot lid.

Try the rear lights, mine weren't fully sealed. Also try the boot badge/ release mechanism.

Shove your finger down the drain holes about 3 inches.

You will note that the hard fibreglass tube suddenly ends and a mushy blob of glue / carpet forms the tube for an inch or so until it meets up with the rest of the boot shell.

I blame it on poor autocadding.

It's one of the notorious TVR design quirks that we all love so much.

I filled mine with nice gooey silicone sealant and my boot's now as dry as Ann Widdecome's chuf.

Nice analogy!! I might just shove my fingers down mine at the weekend, because I have had bit dampness from time to time!!
