tam won't start help

Just got a new ECU today and ignition coil (see earlier thread) both fitted and took my tam out for a blast the car was running great and put a smile back on my face after not having her for 8 weeks, however got home and a couple of hours later went to start it and on turning the ingition key and pressing the alarm button I could hear the fuel pump start, and i got a couple of clicks from the starter motor on the next try there is no sound from the starter at all.
I have now charged the battery for 4 hours and when i go to start the fuel pump runs dash lights correctly but nothing from the starter motor.
I have removed the 100amp fuse from the pasenger foot well left off for 2 mins and reconnected but to no avail.
I have removed all the relays one by one and replugged them in, still no joy.
Tomorrow i'll go through the fuses and the other 100 amp fuse.
Could the starter motor be faulty????????
I would be greatfull if anyone could help as already lost 8 weeks don't know if i could cope with more time off the road with summer coming.

Thats a tricky one...

Any chance it could actually be the immobiliser? once i had to take the keyfob to bits, fiddle with it and reassemble as it wasn't turning off the immobiliser.

other than the fuses etc that you have mentioned or some dodgey wiring then im lost for ideas. It will be something simple mind you...

From what i believe the imobiliser is activated when the engine actually turns over, I could be wrong though. hopefully a new day will bring better results and i do hope its something simple as you said.

Loose battery terminal connections? The current required to crank the engine means you need a good tight connection. Just a thought in case you had it disconnected while working on it...

If the immobalisor isnt working then the engine won't start and the fuel pump will not work. The red led will not flash by where you put the key fob into and the. Mine did this just recently and it was a loose wire in the connection to the immobalisor, which is in the passenger foot well.

new developements, borrowed a new battery hooked it up to the tam and hey presto it started however went for a long drive got back and started once again, tried later and wouldn't start. it seems that the solenoid is sticking on the starter. but just drive the car and have also found that the main isn't working, don't you just love TVR electrics..........

All fixed today, lights were just a fuse and i have fitted a new battery and away we go...........
