New Tamora owner

Hi Guys.
Following my earlier post a few days ago, I have now joined the fold.

I now have a 2001 Tamora in pearl yellow with 18" black chrome spiders, full leather, engine rebuild, new clutch etc etc etc - Pic in my profile.

Absolutly smitten is not the word

Why I didn't make the leap sooner is beyond me. I've been missing out on all this fun for too long!

Just one question please? How do I tell if I have air con fitted? I have the buttons, but don't know if they are just for show or if I have a full air con system that just needs re-gassing (not ice cold air)

I did notice I had a blanking plate over the front of the switch for the lumber support. Blanking plate removed and I have fully functioning electric lumbar support. God only knows why there was a blanking plate in the way...

Great looking car, The Tamora wasn't one i really liked but recently it has really started to grow on me.

To switch on air con, press the heater knob. Blue light should then light up the the bottom right of the knob. I have it on mine, and it has never worked particularly well.

Anyway, nice looking car, good choice!

Nice one Lee. Looks fantastic, those wheels set it off very well. Must have a closer look at BBWF.

I press the heater knob in and it clicks but the blue led does not light up. I'm wondering if I actually have aircon fitted or do I just have the button?

Is there a piece of kit (a compressor etc) I could look for to see if I have aircon installed?

As good as the Chim was, it wasn't for me. I don't know how you feel with the grief?

I recommend one of these babies though. It goes like stink (although not as much torque as the 5.0 V8) and sounds awesome.

Congrats on your new purchase. It sounds like you don't have aircon fitted... they all have the same switch functionality whether it is fitted or not.

Very fonr middle of the seat (between your legs) on the edge of the seat nearest the pedals.

My air con didn't work once and it was simply a setting in the menu! Have a good look through all of the and there is an option for air con, you can toggle it between it on or off. Could be this simple.
Car looks great by the way!

Thanks Daz. I know I had a few reservations about the tamora (fat arse), after driving it, I had to have it - its an awesome bit of kit.
If your up for a hoon or want to try a tam, give me a shout - I'm only down the road.
Any interest in the blue beasie - I still can't believe your selling her - You will regret selling her and you'll NEVER find another like her...

Great looking car, you needn't have worried about the fat arse 'cos I've seen several big blokes driving them!

As Helipilot stated, the little light comes on regardless of whether aircon is fitted or not.

It's the same with the above, standard software for all. The menu setting is present even if aircon is not.

Lee - It is a stunning colour! I wasn't considering a Tamora, but saw one in identical colour to yours and it very nearly stopped my search for a T350!

Because myself, Flasher and a few others on here had orders down for early Tamoras. I have the first customer car but Flasher couldn't wait so cancelled his order in favour of the TMS demo.

See if you can contact Flasher through the PH member list for the car's history. Or try James Agger who worked at TMS at the time.

I'll send you a few pictures.
