T350R on-board video, class B race win at Snetterton
Discussion
I've been updating the tvr racing web site recently and in addition to the usual race reports and images I've added a video gallery too.
Below is a link to the on-board footage taken at Snetterton a couple of weeks ago, this was the second class B race win for the Track Car Solutions T350R powered by a Wilder Fury engine.

P.S. Any feedback on the site most welcome.

Cliff,
Fascinating vid and a cool website. How much power are you giving away to the Tuscan challenge cars 50-70bhp ?. The T350R looks quick through the bends but looks to lose out a little on the longer sections to the quicker of the Tuscans. Is that weight coming into play together with having less power, although presumably the T350R is the most aerodynamic out there on the track ?. I was at Snetterton on the 5th and the T350R looked well on the pace in the 1st race, but am I right in thinking a little out of sorts in the 2nd ?.
Well done and keep flying that flag for us much beleaguered SP6 owners !.

Hi Simon,
The T350R is limited to 300bhp per tonne at the wheels including the driver. We weigh 1100kg and come in a little under the class limit. The AJP Tuscans are making about 430-450bhp typically but only weigh about 900kg with driver so I guess they're something like 400bhp/tonne at the wheels. Another big difference though is the torque, AJPs have about 20% more than we do so we have to work the engine a bit, hence the 3.91 diff and CR dogbox.
At Snett we were struggling for straight line speed (14mph down on the Cerbs and Tuscans) even with a very low downforce set-up on the car. The T350R was still good in the corners but not as planted as it was at Cadwell where we ran a much higher downforce set-up. The main problem was overheating the rear tyres so smooth lines were pretty essential to look after them. It seemed to work though as I managed to get past the Tuscan GT by mid-race and hold on for the win.

Hi Paul .. it does seem to go rather well round the corners even on our relatively modest 250 sized tyres
(some of the guys in the series are on 285 rubber!!) The lack of midrange on the SP6 is a bit of a handicap (we're about 70lb.ft down on a good 4.5 AJP for example as you'll know) but that's just the nature of the beast and the chassis is more than making up for that as 2 race wins and a lap record already show
The SP6 doesn't half sound great though, like a proper screamer race engine. I LOVE that sound

I reckon you will have even more advantages with that car & set-up on twistier tracks. Glad you're both enjoying the sound & 'fury'!
