TVR T350

Hey, i own a TVR T350 and a few days ago i was unable to get into my drivers side door from the outside. I push the button under the wing mirror and nothing happens as it use to. I can open the door from pressing the button from the inside, which means opening the passenger door everytime, climbing over the seat so i can press the button to release the drivers door? Could some1 please give me any advice or let me know if the same problem has accured with your TVR? Thanks James

Snap. I had this 2 weeks ago it lasted a week so I left it at racing green were it sat for a week and didnt play up once. Very bizare!!!

I have the opposite, the drivers door keeps opening on occasions when moving . It takes several goes to close it before it shuts OK. Also the window does'nt work when this is going on.

It only happens when it's raining. Last sunday on the TVRcc Bristol run a T350 owner said it might be damp in the door switch beneath the wing mirror. So I took the plastic cap off the switch to let air in and dry it out. It appears to have done the trick - at the moment!

Hi Craig, check your emergency release cable handle is pushed firmly back in and try it to see if it's working, if it's a bit tight or not in properly the cable can pop the door as the fibreglass body flexs over a bump etc.

I also had a similar issue on my first day of TVR ownership! Door wont open from the outside and every time i put it in gear the door pops open. Sometimes the internal door buttons can get jammed on their sleeves and so are permanantly trying to open the door. squirt a load of wd40 around the button and rotate it. Que jokes about rubbing lubed up buttons It can take a while but it works.

Try the loom connector that goes from the mirror through the door. The connector is inside the door, you can access it by taking the interior door panel off and it in the top of the door near the base of teh mirror. Water get in the connector and it corrodes, common fault.
