98 Octane??

I have just put 98 octane in the Tam by mistake!! instead of V power, I guess it wont be a problem but should I keep the revs down? any advice?

The handbook for speed sixes says 95 for normal driving and 98/99 for track days, you are ok.

Don't know if this is correct but the guys at Henley Heritage who look after my Tam reckon that I should only use the higher octane stuff every fourth visit to the pumps - they have a theory that the higher octane & super unleaded grades strip all the carbon deposits off the clever bits in the engine & some carbon deposit is beneficial to performance. But I'm no expert -all I can say is that my Tam runs well on this regime. You certainly shouldn't have any problem though.

extra carbon to seal the valves??

Better to be safe and put premium fuel in especially as the engine will run hotter this time of year, I don't think the engine has any knock sensors.
Extra carbon build up can also promote knock. By putting in low octane fuel which also causes more deposits in the engine is not ideal.
