Error Code 28 Faulty Water Sensor?

Sarah went out in the Saggy this morning for a bit of a run. The dash showed "faulty water sensor - Error Code 28". The coolant looked fine even though the sensor was saying it was at 117deg c ! I take it this is nothing to worry about and it just needs a new sensor fitting?

Anyone else had this on their car?

Is the sensor easy to replace?

Hi Bogie, yes to both.

Same as T350, under airbox near back of block, which does mean airbox coming off (NB carefully pull off hidden vacuum pipe at rear of airbox before you pull airbox out fully, as well as pipes at front).

Can unscrew/refit with minimal loss of coolant.

I still have the Vantage, yes its great and I love driving it...the sad thing is I was in an RTA in Jan, was in a pretty bad way and im not able to drive again yet ...so I have to be chauffered everywhere in it

people do look funny at us when I turn up at my physio classes and my other half gets the wheelchair out of the back of the Vantage ....recently I just graduated onto crutches, but I still cant get in the Saggy....well I could get in, but I wouldnt be getting out !
