This is the charge voltage. Below 12V and you're draining the battery and it will let you down. Common fault is the 100A fuse between the alternator and the battery failing (do a search).
Mine reads 13.8-14.1V most of the time. I noticed it was flickering to 11.9V and back to 13.8 again sometimes (only when cold strangely). Changed the fuse (which looked OK) and it is behaving again.

Hello Ken,
Trust you had a good journey back from Cadwell
When engine running should be ideally anything from 12,6 to 13,9volts
Try the 80amp fuse in the passenger footwell first, this could be starting to fail, if it is, it will be hot causing the lower POD reading.

If thats OK but the voltage starts to drop further it will be the 100amp fuse under the airbox (changed mine to 120amp)
It's in the holder next to the coil

If you need to get it to the local garage pull the power steering relay out of the wiring loom to reduce battery drain (you will get about 12miles on fullcharge like this)

All the best
Graham

Hi Graham,
Yes got back from Cadwell no problems apart from tiredness clocked 700 miles all told, great time though must do it again soon, anyway it was the 100 amp fuse, the main lead from the alternater had got wet which caused it to short, the fuse was split in half, volts down to 10.9 when i got to Dulford,Colin fitted a new fuse box, the old one had started to melt, made up a new lead, and fitted a new fuse, running at 13.6 volts now, thanks to you and Targarama for replying to my post catch up soon.
Regards Ken.
