Rear Hatch handle.

Just got my T350C back from Track V Road and one of the jobs I had done, was the fitting of a Sagaris rear hatch handle on the back window. It is a superb piece of kit and makes both opening and closing the rear hatch a lot easier. Not only that, but it looks good too! I can't understand why TVR didn't fit one in the first place!
How many other people have got them fitted to their cars?
Also just got to say how delighted I am with the service I recieved at Track V Road. Top bunch of people!

When I picked my T350C up from Track V Road on Saturday, Richard was outside working his magic on a red T350C that they had done a few modifications on, one of which was the fitting of a Sagaris rear spoiler. Got to say it looked good, I am considering it for the future, estimate cost to be approx £300 for parts and fitting. If you are interested in seeing the red T350C just do a search on here for Track V Road and check through the posts. Incidentally, when Richard started it up, it was one of the loudest TVR's I've ever heard!Cheers
they wont have put it on from the factory as there is nothing to protect anyone from the sharp point unlike the sag which has the spoiler to protect anyone,and £300 parts and fitting they are having peoples pants down,the parts dont come anywhere near that price.

Could not find any info on the TVR Power site, but I've just been on the Racing Green parts site and found the following info:
Sagaris spoiler bracket (TVRB1436) £36.27 each.
Sagaris spoiler (TVRU2643) £137.75 each.
Don't forget, there are either 3 or 4 brackets required, if you assume 3 that would come to a total cost of £246.56 for parts alone, which I think would make my original £300 for parts and fitting, pretty reasonable. As for the modified T350C at Track V Road, if you go to:

Just checked and the Sagaris has only 3 mounting barckets for the spoiler, but the T350 has 4, which would push the cost of parts alone up to £282.83, which makes £300 for parts and fitting, seem even more reasonable!Sagaris spoiler bracket (TVRB1436) £36.27 each.

My T350C is Tustain Racing Purple with Anthracite spiders, I'm led to believe it is the one used in the later T350 brochures and at one point, on the TVR web-site.

Anyway, as to the cost of the parts, Racing Green quoted me around £100-odd as I recall. You need the handle part which is £45-odd and you need the whole catch assembly underneath - you can't use the existing one as they're different.
This was for a Sagaris, BTW, but whould be the same for the T350.

As far as the Sagaris spoiler having an adverse impact on speed, I realise it may come as a surprise, but I don't always drive my T350 at 175mph! More often than not, I'm within the speed limits, give or take! One of the things that I like about TVRs is that each owner has a personal standpoint about how they want their cars to look, go and sound. I just thought that the Sagaris rear spoiler looked good and that I may want to add one in the future and, as I don't have the personal expertise (or confidence!) to do it myself, I got a quote. Speed really didn't come into it.

I'm sorry if my comments came across harshly - I really didn't mean it that way. It's just that I was a bit surprised that it would come as news to anyone that a glass parachute / airbrake on the back of a car would reduce the top speed.I had my Sagaris out on Bruntingthorpe for VMax earlier in the year and by 3/4 of the way down the runway the car topped out and stayed there, almost certainly down to the aerodynamic drag of that rear spoiler. The fastest speed at which I crossed the radar trap was 167mph, BTW.
I very seriously considered undoing the 6 allen bolts that hold it on and having a run without it to see what the difference was, but I wasn't brave enough.
Very interested in handles, how much are they? On the NW service front, went to see a guy recently for a 6000 mile service, I waited 6 hours and eventually got an MOT (car never moved from outside the premises! ) an unbelievable shambles and no service .More like care in the community than anything else.Simon
