Voltage required to start a Tamora

Ive just bought a set of anderson leads for the battery connector, I either have a battery problem or another starter motor jam, not sure which. Anyone know what voltage required to start up, charge shows 12.3 volts before turning the key.

12.3V is a little low, you should really be getting 12.6+ V for a battery in 100% condition.

The lower voltage could indicate the battery performance is dropping off, or it is just not fully charged. This doesn't mean your car won't start though, but it may turn over a little slower and make starting more difficult.

Note that estimating battery condition from voltage relies on fully charging it and then letting it rest for a few hours before measuring the voltage.

My T350 has started with an indicated 9V
It had been a while, and I took her for a long spin afterwards.

So, I'd say not starting at 12.3V indicates something else is up with her.

You need sufficient Amperage to crank the engine and start the car.

Have you checked the infamous 100A fuse inline between the alternator and battery?

My good friend the RAC man has sorted the problem and my car starts first time.To cut a long story short he tested the battery and discovered that when I tried to start her the 12 volts in the battery was dropping to 3 volts, when turning the key. He found a bad earth between the engine and chassis.Cleaned the terminal.and problem solved.
