Sagaris dash ecu software

Hi,

I know this is probably a long shot but does anyone have a copy of the software programmed into the microcontrollers in the Sagaris dash ecu ?

I too wanted this software some time ago, I beleive they are Microchip PIC microprocessors (not sure what series)

I was told a "woman in a shed" would be able to provide the files but I never found out how to contact her.

If you do get the files let me know as I`ve been a electronics engineers in a past life and wouldn`t mind "improving" things..

Yes, they're Microchip PIC devices, haven't got the device details here but they have had the read protection set

I also want to make some changes/improvements.

Anyone know who this "woman in a shed" is and how we can contact her ?
Is there anyone that repairs/reprograms the dash ecus, I assumed they'd have the program too.

For my sins I'm a programmer/hardware designer in my current life.

Don't know, possibly C or assembler.
For the size of the device and complexity of the application I'd have thought assembler was fine.
I've never felt the need to use a compiler on the smaller pic devices.

Assuming someone can get access to the raw datafile then it could be "looked at" - you`d want it written in assembly as assembly generated by a C compiler is harder to read..

All,

I sent my dash to her to get the Mileage re-set and she charged hardly anything and also noticed that i needed a new e-prom chip and also the two connecting cables. Her name is catherine mason

Writing PIC software in C is fairly recent and only for the larger devices. Originally it would have been PIC assembler or nothing - and PIC assembler is odd to say the the least.

Given the age of TVR's ... it will likely be a small, early device, pre-C.

Shame. I never got round to learning assembler. I'm a C++ developer with 14 years industrial experience (God, that makes me feel old) and could turn my hand to C. But not assembler.
