Cleaning up engine bay?

After going to some shows now and seeing some pictures on hear of irritatingly clean engine/bays, I was wandering if this was something I could achieve myself/through someone else?

Mine looks like most straight six engines but the outside is always kept immaculately clean so would like the engine to be the same.

I had my cover painted, then other than swaping a couple bits for carbon i just used polish on the bodywork and metal polish to clean up the shine on the stainless steel. Still tempted to get black silicone hoses though.

where di you get your carbon bits from?

The carbon spark plug cover is from a PH'er, BigGriff, look in the speed six forum and there is a thread on them maybe a page or two in, the airbox is from ACT products that advertise on here.

So its just metal polish and elbow grease?

Any specific products work?

Just autoglym super resin polish and then metal polish for the metal, its also amazing at making the exhaust pipes like new... oh and some elbow grease.
