Door Mirrors

Anyone know how easy or otherwise it is to remove the mirrors? Because of someones c**k up I need to get them painted but do not want the whole car put in the oven.

I'd hazard a guess at removing the doorcard to find some bolts/nuts to remove it.

I was surprised to learn the other day that the door mirrors on our T350/TAMS/SAGS are identical to those of a volkswagon corrado!

Oooo! You could probably get some realy nice replacements from Motabitz

I think you might need to remove the window cassette to get to them; when I sorted my window last week I don't recall seeing the fixings at all, so must have been hidden.

Mind you I can be a bit blinkered (blind!) at times.

Get hold of the whol emirror and If you turn the mirror on it's base from the outside, ie as if someone had knocked it, you will see two allen bolts holding it to the door, undo and it will come of as a unit. You will also have to take the door card off to unplug the electrics.
