water under the car

I am sure I have seen something posted on this before but I can't find it.

Went to get the car out the garage this morning it had tried to wash the garage floor with water. I am sure it isnot ac water as did not have it on the last day I used it.

Any ideas where it is comning from and why? I did a longish journey the last time it was used and a couple of days after its first service.

well if you check the water level in the coolant tank and its normal then it's most likely aircon, or rainwater that has collected and ran out after?

Hi G,

I have only been out in the rain in it on my first drive on the way home. And t seems to have put the water all in one place. Do they spill their coolant on a regular basis? Sorry bit of a newb to TVR's.

if the car is fairly new or if its been a hot day perhaps the aircon unit will put out a fair bit of water but no its not common for the coolant to be dumped so i'd check your level and if it is low or empty its a case of going through all the possible places it could be leaking and check all hoseclips / pressure cap on bottle / radiator.

If I fill mine with water it isn't unusual for me to find a puddle under the car from where it finds its on level.

thank you both, i will check the levels this evening and get some coolan onthe way home just in case i need it.

The valve and hose beneath the screen washer bottle went faulty on my Tamora and gushed water all over the place. Easy fix.
Check your washer bottle. Could be that.

Yep definatly the cooling system, it took over half a litre to top up!

Now just needto find the lead, it seems to be somewhere towards the middle of the engine area, not the radiator area, any ideas?
