setting the rev counter

i've heard all sorts of rumours on the T350c rev range...out of interest what are people setting the traffic light sequence at??? i've got mine red lighting at 7000rpm.

Mine is set at 9000rpm red line but then again my zero is set at 2500rpm

Someone isn't "playing nice". Great fun on P&P, but a "poor show" here...


The T-series cars have three lights: green, amber, and red. They are configurable and, in truth, I forget the default setting. As I tend to "overshoot" when I'm "pushing", mine are currently set to 4, 5, and 6k rpm.

This is soooo disappointing....either i blow the engine at 9000rpm (no king way)...or its 6000 rpm Ford Mondeo style. sigh sigh...am setting it to 7.5 the engine note sounds close to the edge...

seriously 6,900??? when the T350 was released all the articles/reviews etc referred to the car red lining at 8000rpm. at 6900 she's begging for more. just like Kelly Brook.

I may agree with these numbers for 4,0 litre car, but for a 3,6 you're spoiling all the fun.

I use my lights in a slightly different way; amber set at 2500 as a guide not to exceed when cold, green set at 4500 which is the limit for oil temp under 60 degrees and red at 6500 for "entering fun zone! so be careful and watch your rev limit".

I presume you know that the limiter cuts in lower down the rev range automatically when the oil is cold

My car is a 53 reg so may not have this facility but using my system I have not revved it above the 2500 when cold and therefore have not had the limiter cut in. Thanks for the info though.
