Sagaris 2 ???

I see there is a new Sag on the 'PH Home Page'.
I've been searching the forums to find out more...

Anybody know anything else or if there are any other pics floating around???

It looks fantastic with those big'ol 5 spokes!!!

I'm gonna start saving now. Should be able to afford it when I'm 79

The centre console looks like an electronic glitch waiting to happen if I've ever seen one

Looks great, looks nearly normal on the inside.
One slight problem , new model will probably have a large deprecation knock on effect on the older cars.

The original sagaris 2 is still for sale at tvr power (pics on website). doesn't have the dash/satnav but the rest is there

Good for me as i wanna go from T350 to Sagaris and should bring Sagaris 1 price down a little.

Not if when the prices come out they are at about 70 or 80k pounds - i think thats what he'll need to sell at in order to make any kind of business case.

I think our Mk 1's will then perhaps appreciate?? Or is that wishful thinking??

If the new Sagaris 2 does in fact make it to market and the price is over £60k then I think it will be a very short lived venture. In my opinion, bearing in mind the little glitches and quirks that we all 'love' about TVR's they are not worth that money and the competition is just too stiff in that price bracket. For me they need to be £50k max or the'll struggle, unless, of course, the quality, reliablity and support takes a giant leap forward!

Exactly my point, i think the Russian knows that he has to sort these things but he also knows that it will cost money but the increased quality will put the car in a different league and therefore will justify a higher price tag.

I think the days of a TVR being a realtively affordable supercar are gone - when they do eventually get production up and running again, I reckon he is aiming for a market just below Spyker. Same type of car but slightly lower spec / price - he will target rich UK, European and Japanese customers.

I also think us people with either an 05 or an 06 TVR have got it pretty good i.e. decent quality but a snip in comparison to other supercars

My take on things of course!!

Absolutely! All current Sag owners who have a car standing them somewhere between £30k - £50k have a bargain supercar that pound for horses is great value. Pity I had to sell mine

Anybody else think it doesn't look as nice as the old Sagaris? Obviously not huge changes but the ones they have done seem to take away from the look a little IMO. Great to see them back though, hopefully I'll get the chance to own one when I'm older and able to afford them.

Jeremy, my thoughts exactly. No side exit exhausts? What a travesty. They are so unique and define the character of the Sag. Best car I've ever owned to date, new Sag 2 has a long way to go to lure me to chop ....... not unless the price is right!

Having said that I really do hope that TVR can relaunch in whatever format.

whey I sat in the Sag 2 at the car show, the seats were nice, the new bonnet arrangement looked much more sturdy and reliable, but those exhausts...nahhh....as you say, they are a prime feature of the car and you must have them ...of course, i dont think they pass pedestrian safety regs in some markets and they wont do a UK only version in future

So that leaves all us 'original' Sag owners with a classic on our hands

and I sure do TVR make it back this time for good, but I suspect they will have trouble getting a workforce that trusts the management after the last fiasco ......

Its pass-by noise regs that they can't pass

When they first released details of the Sag 2 a couple of years ago, you could have the side exhausts as a no-cost option. Side exhaust would be easy to retro-fit so I'm sure that, if and when they get up and running again, you could have them if you wanted
