Window cable snapped

Hi.

The cable inside the door window mechanism on my T350 has snapped, obviously causing the side window not to work.
Does this require a whole new mechanism or is it possible just to replace the cable?

Also, the windscreen wipers have stopped working properly on intermittent, i.e they go half way across the screen then stop. Works fine on the 2 faster speeds though.
Any ideas?

Wiper problem will be the park switch - easy to fix yourself (order a new switch online & fit).

Where is it located in the car?

Plugs into the wiper motor. Right by the bonnet latch in the engine bay.

Just need to find out about the window mechanism now. Really hope i don't have to replace the whole mechanism (~£160) when it's just the metal cable (~2p) that's snapped!
