How do you change the leather gator on gear knob

The only tatty part of the car is the leather gator around the gear knob and just wondered how you replace it, if anyone has any advise that would be great

It's easier than it looks.

I didn't take the boot load cover off, I just flexed the fibreglass.

Was harder to get back on than it was to take off.

Hi,

Just did mine on my TAM, got the gaitors off ebay
which are better quality than the originals as they
are leather. It is a bit fiddly getting the console
back on but after a bit of sweat it is worth it.
