Seat upgrade?

I am thinking about upgrading the seats in my t350c, the original seats are very comfy but I don’t find them supportive enough when on track or fast road driving.
I have looked at some of the options (tail slide’s cobra seats) and am not keen on the fixed bucket type seats.
I have also spoken to Dom at TVRpower about the seats that Sparco developed for the Sagaris 2, they are available from multipart as a untrimmed kit but are very expensive (aprox 700 + vat!!)
I want to keep the GT theme of the car. So have been looking at recliners from the aftermarket suppliers, here are some of the options that I’m looking at:

Sparco – MILANO

I am more than aware that they will not drop straight in and custom sub-frames will need to be made. Has any one tried changing there seats for something similar?? Can anyone see any problems with the type of seats I want to use?

I have all the dimensions for the two seats, I’m going to throw a tape over the original seats this weekend and see if they will even fit in the car.

in the short term always worth fitting a CG lock to your present seat belt and if you swap seats still put a CG lock on. They just keep you in place more even if you do not have the side support by keeping you pushed back. Easy to fit and £35 - £45, I would not have a car without one unless you have harnesses.

Another thumbs up for the CG lock from me! Havent got round to fitting it yet in the TVR but it was brilliant in my last cars.

As for the seats, I am keen on changing mine aswell, just for something a bit more supportive.. So will keep an eye on this

Hi, I looked at changing my seats too...the research led to one conclusion - the best and easiest seats to fit are Cobra Imolas; sexy too...I spoke to Cobra direct...they have all the necessary attachments (sub-frames etc)..they built them specifically for the T350. essentially they can sell you everything you need. In the end I decided not to go ahead; wanting to keep the car in its original TVR Blackpool condition. I'm currently waiting for my original seats - they're being re-padded. if you do change the seats you'll obviously need to install race harnesses which involves some serious bolting work to the interior of the car. anothing thing that put me off. Cobra e-mailed me all the info and if you want it just let me know and I'll send it on to your e-mail addy.

Have you actually fitted your CG Lock to a Sagaris or Tamora? I was told it wouldn't fit due to the lip on the "male" part of the seat belt fastening. If so I'd appreciate you telling me how it's done?

Same here, i tried to fit one, but didnt manage as the plastic part has a 'lip' on it.
