T350c Air Con problem

Hi,

I'm having a bit of an AC problem with my T350c, as soon as I press the switch to turn on the air conditioning the 20A fuse for the heating controls blows.

(Thanks to Varleyhyd's Sagaris pages, it would have taken a while to find the right fuse without the info contained there!)

Anyone have any ideas where I should start looking for a problem?

Wiring to aircon clutch is 1st favourite, can get severed and ground to negative.

It on the sagaris pages somewhere!

pin 'cc' red wire changes to white wire at aircon pump.

Disconnect at bullet connector join under airbox(should just about get at without airbox removal)
to test supply OK and see if fuses again.

If it does it could be the wiring to the bulkhead plug

If not it maybe the a/c clutch

Thanks for the advice, going to have a look today. With regard to the connection you are talking about is it this one? I only ask as it's a red to red connection but appears to be connected to the AC clutch.

The red wire you see is the one to disconnect too see if still fuses (it joins to a white further back)

Just disconnected it and found the red cable shorts to ground which I assume it shouldn't especially since I don't have a fuse in it, and the clutch side has a good resistence to ground. I removed the air box and found the wire is secured to the AC compressor with a cable tie and the insulation has worn through . I'll tape it up for now and see if the problem is solved. Fingers crossed!
