T350c & Ferrari 430

Driving home on the M11 2nite minding mine own business listening to the Eagles, when a Ferrari F430 decides to pull alonside me and rev his little hoover engine. That's all I needed lads, dropped the old girl in 3rd and stayed with him all the way until I had to turn off for journey home. What a feeling lads, I don't think he was expecting that. Approx 1.5 metres away from his exhuast pipes.

P.S the Ferrrari did sound nice lads but the TIV with Power Back Box and De-Catt sounds even better at 7,000rpm. Then it was back to the Eagles!

Maybe I won't sell her after all!

Forgot to mention that the Speed limit was observed at all times!

If he had any sense, and he did give you a little clue, he'd have known what you were capable of! Let's hope he saw it all the same way, we don't want a bad reputation now, do we?

Perhaps I should of continued listening to the Eagles instead. Looking at some of the replies perhaps selling the car and sticking to my karting would be a wise idea for now.

P.S So easy to get a little carried away in the zone sometimes, sad news with the T350 owner.

That's the problem with these 'Fiat' drivers....upstarts....have they no respect for the pedigree, the racing heritage & the millions spent on development.....err hang on a minute

Seriously though you don't want to get stuck behind one of those prancing ponies for long....there so wide & the back is so high you can't see round them unless your on a dual/motorway. Found out the hard way on the way to Le Mans one year

Sad fact is, and no one has said it yet cos its a TVR forum. You would not have been ther long if the F430 had been serious. A T350 is more than 10% down on power to weight and over geared in standard form.

So what your saying is it will take someone with a Sagaris to see off a 430

A large part of it depends on driver skill as well.

I have been behind a "serious" 430 in my Tamora and the main difference was the speed of the F1 gearchange, other than that there was no major difference in performance.

I just pointed out the facts and they do suggest there would be a difference (noticable).

Lads, just to reconfirm, car is a standard 3.6. Moda are suspension, exhaust, alloys etc. No engine work at all I repeat NO engine work.

P.S. Good to see a few responses, but please, I did not state that a T350c could keep up at top end speeds with the ferrari. I was there remember and Under hard extreme acceleration the TIV was right up the arse of the ferrari, until I backed off. Nothing to do with me trying to convince anyone that a TIV is faster or any other remarks.

I think it's best if you guys just end debate there, coz I feel a little embaressed with some of the remarks been posted. It was a little ding dong with a ferrari & the TIV had no problem matching it under acceleration up until a certain speed. THAT IS IT.

AND YES MY ENGINE HAS 27,000 MILES, NO REBUILD & IS COMPLETELY STANDARD.
