Hi all.
Just come back from 2 weeks in the US, where my thoughtful employer saw fit to hire me a Pontiac Grand Prix. Now, it has a reasonably evocative name but fails (spectacularly) to live up to it. Trust me if you are offered the chance to drive one, run in the other direction. FAST.
Sounded ok but slow and wallowy with a shockingly poor auto box that I really couldn't get my head around and I thought automatic was supposed to be easy - ho hum.
Anyway, the point of the story (other than to say how much I enjoyed being back in the T350) was that after standing for a fortnight at the in-law's house under a cover I was very dubious that it would start. I even purchased a set of leads with an Anderson connector and was steeling myself for a rather embarassing request for a jump start.
I need not have worried - she fired up first time with absolutely no issues whatsoever. I know that I'll be castigated for saying this but I was (pleasantly) surprised.
I know that if you came back to your standard eurobox after a fortnight and turned the key you'd be surprised if it didn't fire up immediately - clearly I've learned to manage my expectations of the TVR already!
Shame that we don't have the weather over here that I've enjoyed for the last 2 weeks, but TVR + British summer is infinitely preferable to Pontiac blah blah + Californian summer!
