Fans cutting in!!

Hi all,

Had the T350 for a month or so now and at the weekend was the 1st time the water temp has gone up, was sitting in traffice a fair bit, plus it was quite a warm weekend, anyway I have 2 fans on the Rad do they come in at different temps or are they mean't to come on together, Im sure I heard one kick in at around 99/100, I did notice it flick to 103 briefly. When I got home I left engine running with the hood up to see if other fan kicked in but only one side was working, is this correct? what temp does the other one come in at if they are seperate?

They come on independently, the first should kick in around 91-92deg and the second about 5 or 6 degrees higher.

Hey mate,

For some reason both my fans come in at the same time, not sure if a previous owner/garage wired it this way, doesn't really bother me to be honest.

My car was up at Dreadnought the other day having both sensors replaced (temp for ECU and temp for dashboard reading), was told both were out by about 15 degrees.

Am much happier now, the temp never gets above 91 degrees as (both) fans kick in around 89(ish).

Mine cuts in just as it reaches 100 degree's and sometimes can cause a little bit of steam to come out of bonnet? is this anything to do with ECU mine is only version 1.4 where as i heard someone say they were up to something like 4.4? maybe i am totally wrong?
