Retrofit Targa panels to T350

I've been considering a T350T for a while but not been able to find one I'm happy with.
I was wondering how easy it is to take a set off a scrapper and retrofit them?
Ought to be straigh forward if you know what you are doing!
I'd get a TVR experienced body shop to do it though
Any one done it?

I suspect it is harder than it looks. Plus the targa has an additional roof brace front to rear between the targa panels. I wouldn't be surprised to find that each panel is molded to fit the specific car either.

Theres a nice Highland Grey one in the classifieds up for 21k but I reckon you could negotiate a grand off - chaps based in London and is selling as he just doesn't get the time to use it. I was going to view next week but purchased a silver 54 plate from Castles instead.

Nah, the fastest are sort of silvery grey. With birdst on the bonnet. Oh, and a kebed alloy (that I managed to do on Satyrday! aarrggghhhh!)

Have you seen Targaramas car in the classifieds? Looks fantastic IMHO though I know what you mean regarding the spectraflair silver!
Fow me I just went for the best condition which just happened to be a fantastic colour!

Would a respray to your choice of colour not be easier than converting to a T? You'd presumably at least need to respray the roof anyway.

Just had a quick look on autotrader (put in national and all T350s) and both Racing Green and TVR Centre are showing spectraflair silver targas for sale.

It is a lovely colour, and was popular in 2003/2004. Check the interior colour combo though - most Spectraflair Silver cars I've seen have a slightly squiffy blue and yawn grey interior. A black interior would suit this external colour best IMO.

I would always go for the respary oprtion after you bought your car in the best condition, drive it for a few months and if you still want a diff colour respray it (will be stone chipped anyway ) if you drive lots- which you will- as they are so great- did I say I am biased??
Retrofitting panels even if done well and profeesional will most certainly affect your resale value (not that you would sell it probably) and your insurance (key word modifications), all imo of course...

Yep I don't like the blue/grey combination. The dual grey is nicer.
