Can't fault it.

Took my Tamora to work today after not driving her for a week.

120 mile round trip.

Glorious sunshine.

Traffic not too bad.

Came back the twisty route.

All I was thinking was "OMG I love this car".

I actually can't fault it at all.

So - do any of you think that the Tamora actually has any faults?

(BTW this is not the time or place for Speed 6 bashing. Mines done 30k without fault and I'm fully expecting to get at least another 30k miles out of my engine. What's my secret? Regular servicing and careful warm up. Simple really.)

I second that Speed 6 31,000 miles no problems! (While touching the woodern table his laptops on ) There is nothing better than a good run out in a TVR

Driving wise no! once you ditch the STD suspension.
Engineering/ergonomics yes.

1. seat belts tempremental.
2. seat belt unlocking button should be higher
3. seat recliner lever is a pain to use so close to the 'B' post
4. hood can't be lowered with seat in the furthest setting
5. boot doesn't open enough to allow easy input/removal of roof section
6. mine was too low at the front for some speed bumps but now raised.
7. Some leak with heavy rain but mine doesn't
8. oil/water filling could be much easier
9. engine takes too long a time to warm up
10. head room is only just enough with seat in a very reclined position (6ft 2")
11. the HVAC is the worst of any modern car I have driven
12. No separate front fog lights (switch shows them but only come on with main beam)
13. Digital display is not designed for vibration.
14. electrical routing and access to some vital parts have not been thought out too well
15. access to battery
16. nowhere on the back to attach a tow rope. (my battery was flat and had no access to nearside wheel so I needed to pull the car into a more accessable area).
17. Headlight beams are very poor
I can go on but you get the picture.

Would I sell the car? no way, all because of the first line of this post. I have never had a more fun car, and that is what counter acts all the Tamora's wart and all!.

Some say it's the ugly sister of the SP6 family, (I once did) but when i saw one in the flesh I couldn't resit one. I have said it before that the Tamora is not very photogenic but looks far better in 3D. If you have only seen a Tam in a mag don't let that make you judge it's looks. It's the opposite of Kate Moss who looks crap in the flesh and only looks good in a Mag. Yes! I have met her!

That depends on the age of the car
Front FOGS were fitted to the pre face lift
Front DRIVING lights to facelift cars...

Change was around 52/03 plates

My 04 TAM has the lights but if you notice they don't come on when they are suposed to according to the dial, so in affect A tam does not have fog lights at the front even though it looks like it has from the front. It needs to be rewired to make them operate as independant lights.

Sorry Kev but you're wrong
If you look at the pic in my profile, my pre face lift 02 Tam DEFINATELY has FOG lights
The 03 & later face lift cars have larger diameter lights mounted slighly further outboard & these are driving lights to make up for the ste headlights...
