Hi, I'm a Tamora "Newbie" having recently acquired a 2002 model. Car is superb, done just over 30k and no major issues to report. One irritating characteristic howver is a rattle that makes itself known when on a bumpy road (like most of the UK!) It sounds like it's coming from the nearside window or the bonnet (which is a tad floppy on the nearside) and as I haven't persuaded the missus to hang outside the car whilst in motion (yet) I wonder if any of you long termers had experienced and subsequently fixed. The sound is there with targa top off or on, windows fully open or closed and is best desribed as sharp, cracking sound like when two hard objects impact. Any advice appreciated.

I have a similar noise in my T350 - I just diagnosed it this morning as coming from the passenger door not being securely held against the car body when shut.
I checked this by pressing lightly on the door when closed and discovered that it moved a couple or thee mm making the noise that I can hear in the cabin.
Haven't worked out how to fix it yet tho'!

You can adjust the door strike/tighten, by using a modfied pair of circlip plyers or simular. On the leading edge of the door the round strike plate sticks out, it has two small holes on the base more or less flush with the door, obviously clockwise to tighten and anti-clockwise to undo, mine always tends to slacken it self and rattles, half the time i just live with it and make the exhaust noisier so i can`t here it 
Our 05 Tam does the same on the passenger side - rattling trim? - it is a TVR after all, what do you expect?! 
Seriousy though, it's pretty much always done it and hasn't got any worse, and the door seems to fit and shut OK though. It's been suggested to me by an experienced dealer mechanic that it might be the window runners being slightly loose - should be quite easy to check (3 screws on the bottom of the door and the door card should slide down and out), but I've just not got round to it yet...
If you have a go and get any joy then let me know!

Sounds like the rattle I have experienced in both the Sag and its predecessor T350. Funny how it's always the passenger door. I did the adjustment to the latch on the 350 but it pulled the door too tightly in so didn't look right and, guess what, still had the rattle although less than before.
Now I have two solutions,
1. drive with the window down (you'd think having the window up would tighten up the fit somehow because the window pushed up against the rubbers should give it less latitude to move. But I think by pushing the window out it must move the bottom edge of the door closer in and this generates the rattle.)
2. a strategically placed bit of rag - I just drape this over the seal onto the door sill at the back corner of the door and, hey presto, silence. A bit amateur I know, but it's always handy to have a bit of cloth around anyway. Does suggest however that the proper solution may be a modified door seal, maybe packing out the rubber a bit.

It's a bit ironic that the Tamora is one of the most solid feeling cars I've driven, at any speed or road condition, which makes the bloody rattle all the more annoying!

Before you tear your P&J apart, don't forget the stupid stuff!
e.g. The glove box lids weren't great in the early T-cars, or you may have a coin in there rattling about. The bonnet also needs a couple of rubber 'stubby things' (if you'll forgive the tech-speak) to keep it taught.
