Oil Pressure Sensor Help!!

Hi All,

Had the T350 for a couple of months now, no problems, although this morning I got an error code Oil pressure sensor error!! and the reading is showing 80 odd at tickover, doesn't effect the drive at all.
After a while it corrects itself and is then fine.

Do I just need a new sensor? Am I okay to carry on driving the car? I cant see how I can be doing any damage to it.

Russ - have a look a little down this page, because I started a thread with exactly the same issue. In my view you are not causing any problems driving it, in the short term anyway. However, its an important reading, so I would suggest it needs fixing soon.
As you will see from my thread, replacing it is possible yourself, depending on how old yours is, it may be easier than mine. I got the new sensor today, so will be fitting it tomorrow.

Hi, Yeah cheers, just as I posted I noticed your thread!! it seems to be intermittent, the temp seems okay just the pressure will take a trip to Levens tomorrow, try and get one...

Its my 1st niggle, all part of the fun I guess.......

If its intermittent, then could be it just needs a clean up. Mine was permanently high.

Mine was reading low at idle I had the 4psi low warning come on and as I'd just bought the car and driving it home I sh@t myself
