De cats - bst place to buy

Lots seem to sell them - any differences and any of them stock them to your knowledge? (Sagaris but I think the 350 ones are the same?)

Make your own, far cheaper, get some dud cats and burn the insides out or do your own cats for free :-)

Sag decat pipes have 57mm outlets and T350 Decats have 54mm outlets. Some later Sags also have a slightly larger diameter manifold mating flange.

I have over two years until my first MOT so it may be a good idea but I thought I should keep the origonals incase I need to keep them.

If I could find some old ones then that would be great - mayb I should start another thread.

I have a Pair of Ntel's decats on the Tuscan, very well made and fit nicely too, plus if you look how much it costs to replace the cats they are cost effective so you can save your cats from being melted by the speed 6 and just chuck them in at MOT time.

I Have two original de-cats if someone wants them. I had my T350 de-catted and it sounded the muts!!!

I have just fitted decats to my T350T, they sound awesome and are very well fabricated. They were made by a guy called Quick and were bought for me by Paul at X Works Service, Kirkham near Blackpool. The quality was fantastic and I am very happy. Always delighted with X Works service too.

I presume he is the Q of PDQ? If that is the case I can recommend his de-cats as used on my Tamora then T350. Properly designed and constructed, not just replacement pipes.

John Quick supplied mine too. Looks good in stainless and more importantly proven best flow.

Chose it because the design was properly developed from variety of profiles etc on dyno at TVR factory by John. Rather better for flow at high & low speed pick-up than simply removing cats which gives a low-pressure area (allowing bit more flow reversal at low engine speeds and less flow at high speed).
