rear light covers

Could win the most stupid question post but has any one tried a Sag with out the rear light covers? I am guessing you may need to seal the actual lights or it may be a total no no.

Firstly, I don`t think anything is too well water proofed behind those rear lights (but then again it does look ok from changing the bulbs but you can`t see the whole way down) and secondly you`d have to smash the existing cover to get it out - the sealant around the top would be almost impossible to get out as its very tight space to work in.

I had mine done (twice) when I first bought the car under warranty. The first time was because they misted up whenever it rained, the second because water was collecting in them (now sealed at the bottom but not the top apparently). Each time the dealer told me they were impossible to get out without breaking so make sure you have spares before you try to remove if you think you might replace.

I re-sealed my Sag left hand rear lense twice, both times i removed the old cover and re-used it??

hi paul have taken my rear lenses of twice now to mod rear lights.dont like the look of the sag without lense but personal choice,you will have to have a look at what i did when i modded the lights(i think it looks cool)also protects the rear end in bad weather conditions against drivers driving to close

Hi Gary, Thanks for the pics, I think they look pretty good without the lenzes but I supose I would need to see them in the flesh asit were.
