Starter Button

Hello I am the proud owner of an 05 T350T in Halcyon Midas Pearl. Bought it with only 1100 miles on the clock and mint. A great credit to the previous owner from near Lancaster, Jonathan.

X works service have added a Sagaris cooling mod and upgraded washers on rear suspension. Also a beatiful pair of decats from Mr Quick make it really roar. Paul and Heath I would reccomend to anyone needing servicing or upgrades, they are at Kirkham, just a mile or so from the TVR "Shed". Both of them were Factory Service managers are are dead honest and so knowledgable. A note of caution was made to me by another customer Jason Sparkes(near Preston) who had just put his gorgeous Tuscan on its roof, I drive with caution now and have made a friend.

I tried to fit a rear Sagaris spoiler but could not get it to line up. It was a three quter height one with mod brackets and the lines were wrong. Hope a full size one will fit.

I would love to put on a starter button, has anyone done this?

I am not a tvr owner but nearly all starter buttons will require you to still use a key to turn on the ignition.

The only way is to void the ignition barrell but this would be very hard due to the imobilser.

once the button is fitted you will still be able to start the car with the key as far as i am aware. so my personal opinion is it is pointless but you didnt ask this

X-works have got good feedback. Think he wants a starter button because of the sports car feel and to be honest i think it would be quite smart. let me know if you manage to get this done prices etc... might not do it myself but would like to se what it would look like.

Thanks for that Rob, yes I really just fancy that super car button idea, I realise that it will not bypass my key at all.
My T350T really puts a smile on my face, think my Chimaera will definitely be sold now

I've been toying with thte idea of fitting a starter button, but I'm not sure where to locate it on the dash. The best starter button that I've seen and which I've bought ready for fitting is the Honda unit they fit in both the S2000 and Civic Type-R.

Welcome to the family! I can also highly recommend Heath and Paul at X Works Services, very knowledgable and they do a fabulous job.

Nearly bought that car myself but couldn't get my head round whether the owner would still be going through a running-in procedure 3 years on. Probably just my doubting mind but certainly looks a gorgeous car, enjoy.

BTW what was the Sag cooling mod?

I was going to go for a remote start. I have it on my bikes and had it on my previous cars I love it.
Would also be interested in the started button I remeber when I was young I fitted one to my nissan micra LOL

Ok...The cerbera is the only TVR with the push button start/stop feature - it has no key apart from the immobilser fob.

You would have to change a hell of a lot to get that, probably best speaking to either TVR Power or Carl Baker (do a search for TVR Car alarms).

WRONG........ think Tuscan 2

I have done it, fitting the start stop button from the tuscan 2 . It took ages and was a right pain to reverse engineer the switch wiring and mate it to the sagaris with 3 relays.

Interesting.. did you take any pictures or wiring diagrams for getting the starter button on the Sag? Was tempted to add one to my Sagaris..
