Hi...
Waxed and polished my T350 (Chameleon Blue), went for a nice drive around Edinburgh. On the way home, a guy in a crappy Vauxhall Corsa drove right through a give way, wiped out the entire nearside of the car.
Everyone is ok although my face and hands got cut with flying glass and neck is stiff (going to doctor in the morning), was fairly scary stuff, at one point his bumper was almost in the passanger side, glad I had nobody sitting there.
Car just been collected by Greenflag and the driver of the recovery van had owned x3 TVRs, was as shocked/upset as me.
Door, front wing, rear quarter in bits and we noticed the rollcage is bent which I can only assume means this is now a write off?? Besides, even if they can fix it am not sure I want it back now...
I will try and get some pictures up although off to drown my sorrows now, another (mint) TVR bites the dust for no reason at all.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Once again its another T350 
Its not looking to good if it was hit from the side as it might of twisted everything. I hope you do get it back as the T350 is getting Rarer by the day! Bloody Crappy corsa! Feel for you mate as i just polished mine up today and if someone had hit it think i would of been pretty angry! 
Hope everything goes well and hope you get all clear from the doc mate.
Thankfully once again no body was seriously injured.

Yeah, that's me and the girlfriend although can't remember anyone taking that, what a nice suprise.
Thanks for the supporting messages, hope something can be done but after speaking to a mechanic friend he said it's not looking good as I was saying to him the roll cage was bent and you could see the rear window pushed over to the right....

This will make you laugh - I was called by the other insurance company who are providing me a "like for like" replacement hire car till we settle what's going on. The guy on the phone then says "You ok to take a Volvo S50 estate"...... Stunned silence for 10 seconds followed by my laughter. Told him to go and research the T350, come back with something else :-)
The car is being looked at today and someone will get back to about a) repair or b) write off...
I assume I can get the car sent to my choice (was thinking about Racing Green etc) rather than insurance choice?? The lady on the phone was fairly surprised when I said this, she told me they have done a couple of TVRs.....

Mine is a late 2003, chameleon blue, 20K miles, 2 owners, full TVR History and mint condition (nside and out including alloys which are like new). I'm curious on what they may offer if it's a write off, would want something the same etc.

We had our T350 rear-ended a few months back, the like-for-like hire cars were pitched as Merc CLK/Porsche Boxster S level; we got the Boxster S in the end.
As for garage of your choice, most companies are usually happy to send your car wherever you like; they certainly were in our case.

The car was declared a write off about a week ago. The total damage was estimated (by the garage) at £13K and they advised of a complete new bodyshell (no idea where they thought this would be available from). Funny enough, the figure they placed on the estimate was bang on the 65% of total cost where the insurance company make a yes/no decision to go ahead with the repairs.
My insurance guy went out to look at the car, got them to remove interior (he was suspicious of the figure they placed on the repairs and how confident they were in wanting to fit it) and noticed the chassis was pushed in. Therefore, too much damage and cost to repair along with the hire car they have provided (CLK 220) which I found at was being charged to the 3rd party at £188 per day !!!
I have spent the last week arguing with my insurance company on a settlement figure. They started off at £17K and I managed (after many calls and great support from Castle TVR, Racing Green etc) to get £21K. Obviously all costs are being applied to the 3rd party but my insurance company pay the bill initially and claim back.
My advice to anyone who has the misfortune of going through the same process is to do your homework. I pulled out all the 2003 T350s from Pistonheads/Autotrader and got an average as well as phoning up TVR Power, Racing Green and Castle to get their opinion on a ‘fair’ price. The T350 is not listed in Glass or Parker guide so it’s hard to put a market cost on the car, took some amount of arguing.
I have attached a few pictures, some of which in her former glory and some after the accident (inc a couple with the Sagaris spoiler if anyone is thinking of adding it, I thought it looked really nice).
So, good luck to everyone and wish you the best with your cars. The T350 was the best car I have ever owned and that’s from a list of – CarreraS, Z3m Coupe and Evos. I was amazed at how much damage a car can make to the TVR at only 15 MPH, bit of a wake up call!
Good luck, hope to see some of you out and about, look out (around Edinburgh) for a Noble GTO-3 which I am now thinking about buying!

It was only 20K miles and weekend use only.
It was up at Dreadnought having the temp sensors replaced a few Months back, Claire had commented it was one of the cleanest she had seen, engine was like brand new.
x2 previous owners with the last being a well known customer of Castle TVR.
Racing green were keen to fix her but with the chassis damaged it's just too dangerious...

At the moment I`m scared taking the Sagaris out for a run, its not me I`m really worried about its the other idiots sliding into me!
Accident's always happen in Nov/Dec because "normal" driver's don`t really switch into winter driving habits until they have had a near-miss or a slide down a road to wake them up!
