Seats - High Density Foam

Has anyone replaced the foam seat inserts
for the bottom cushion, my arse is going numb !

Funnily enough I was thinking the same last weekend be interested in any answer here.

I asked the trimmers about this when I had the rear screen on my Tam done a few weeks ago. Yes it will make things better but changing (adding) to the webbing on the seat base frame will also go along way to improving seat comfort and support, especially if like me you like beer & food a bit too much!

I had indeed noticed they were removable, which got me thinking I'd actually like a thinner set for track use so you sit lower and your arse is held in more by the proportionally higher seat sides (in relative terms)

I reckoned the same & TVR supplied these for me when new, worked quite well, better than just removing cushion altogether which dropped me a bit low.

Eventually moved to a comp seat & harness for more safety/security on track.

Yep, I have a thinner cushion too - drops me down a bit and holds me tighter without being too tight (standard seat with no cushion).

I had the factory make mine when I bought the car new. I would expect a decent trimmer will have a source for this kind of foam (or something as good as it).
