Always a trade-off between grip and wear but I use Toyo T-1Rs and Toyo 888s (16") on the track.

Gary - you must have be 'pushing it'. I'm still on the original fronts at 18,000 miles and my rears lasted 12,000 miles (F1s).

Toyos are the other favourite. But neither will last long if you manage to wear a set out in an hour. Are you Tiff Needell?

they have just gone completely on the 'offside', fabric showing, checked pressures and were ok before setting off. must of been the car limiter test in the middle, continues 'circles' (not dough-nuts)

I like the goodyear F1's. Still run those and typically change them annually.
