Hi all
Picked up my first TVR today
Photo is from previous owner. I picked it up from Racing Green even though I bought it privately and made the mistake of chosing yesterday as the day! I live in Worthing and we set off in the wife's TT roadster at about 1PM. Went along the back of the downs through some pretty flooded roads until we finally arrived and picked her up.
The way back was interesting! Fording streams in the road that were at least 6 inches deep, more like 12 in places! Car was flawless which was a pleasant surpruse considering the conditions. Only problem was lots of steam from the bonet as the water evaporated and the fact that going through a stream caused the oil temp to drop to 20-30 degrees so it never really warmed up.
Did not seem that fast compared to the Honda powered elise (0-60 in 4.5 secs ish) but then I realised just how much travel the throttle pedal has. Didn't really give it much stick due to the conditions (I doubt I'll see full throttle until march at this rate!)
One question so far, I am sure there will be many more to come, the manual says that the LCD display should remember its last settings but mine always resets to position 1, is there a battery or something that has gone flat?

Looks very nice. I see yours has Tuscan seats? Would be a bit worried about driving through 6" of water as the intake is underneath the car! Picked up my first TVR today

Lovely looking car mate glad to see another T350 targa in action! I would leave the throttle till its dry to but think you will discover that once that rev needle starts rising it gets a shift on. I was the same when i first picked mine up. Once you get a little more confident (and a nice bit of road in the dry) you will soon find it a bit more of an animal!

- Oh yes and my oil temp only reaches about 30ish when moving in these ambient conditions. It is primarily air flow over the sesor body. Don't worry oil is hot if you have been going for 10mins or so.

Looks very nice - I love spectraflair silver and the black wheels really set it off. Thinking about getting mine anthracite coated (brilliant silver Targa), especially afetr seeing yours.
Like the seats as well - thats the biggest let down with the normal 350 seats is the lack of lower back support.

Thanks, bit of a bonus then as far as the seats are concerned. They are 1/2 alcantara as well which I really like, cool in summer and not as slippy.Like the seats as well - thats the biggest let down with the normal 350 seats is the lack of lower back support.
Only thing it "might" need is a sports exhaust, bit quiet after the Lotus! Nicer sound, just quieter.

Mine has adjustable lumbar support - little rocker switch in the middle of the seat base under the padding on both driver and passenger side.Only found it the other day... AFAIK they are standard seats...

Nope. It's easilly accessible - it's on the front of the base cushion. If I manage to get mine out of the garage this week I'll take a photo - won't be before Thursday tho'. As I say, I'm not sure whether it was an option or fitted as standard.
