Changing front shocks?

My front shocks need replacing and was looking at getting the parts from TVR power and doing it myself. Is it a relatively simple job on a T350? Once I have put the shocks on I will then take it somewhere to get the geo setup.

I assume you are doing the springs as well as a package, if so its fairly easy and as long as the geo is ok now, (it should have been checked at you last service anyway) you retain the geo settings if done correctly.

I replaced all 4 on my Tamora with Gaz Golds earlier in the year. Took about 8 hours due to the leaning curve and some being more of a pig than others. Not difficult but 2 axle stands, a trolley jack, and ideally 2 socket sets will make a big difference.

In terms of the geo I was told to give it a few hundred miles to allow them to bed in first, which is what I did.

I can highly recommend some Protech's, Track Car Solutions will get them and if you want, fit them, either way they are around same price as the standard stuff but a hell of a lot better, TCS is just down the road depending on what part of South-Yorks you are from, it only takes me 15mins to get there.
I have now fitted 2 full sets of shockers on TVRs and a few more on other cars, it is easy if you work with spanners OK, it can all be done easy within a day and thats for the whole lot.

They are all about the same price and for the price it seems worth replacing the whole front and back rather than just the front.

Have you considered the Billsteins that were developed to replace the HB units. About 50% cheaper than any of the adjustable stuff and a quality product that improves the ride.

I have gone for the bilsteins, so will see how we get on, hopefully fit them next week.
