t350 gear knob

Anyone confirm that the t350 alloy gearknob is supposed to have a type of lock washer under the knob in order to adjust it please?

Is it machined for the tvr or is it just a standard alloy thingy?
Anyone care to take a picture of their gear stick so I can get the idea, in some pictures it seems to be conical shaped; however the picture isnt really clear.

Steel locknut to adjust gearknob alignment,

but also an alloy ferrule fitted

in this order:-
Alloy ferrule 1/2" UNF spins up to cover the steel locknut
1/2" UNF steel locknut
Gearknob


PS Loctite only for the gearstick(not the knob)

Anyone know where I can purchase a 1/2" UNF x 5mm lock nut? I'm missing one and a 'normal' 1/2" nut is too wide to hide - 5mm is quite thin. I suppose I could always file the nut I have down ... its only mild steel afterall
