Headlight Condensation

Merry Christmas!!!

I am having a problem with the headlights of my T350, one of the lights has so much condensation in it that there is a pool of water forming at the bottom. I have searched this forum to see if there is a guide to fixing the problem but i haven't found anything.

I believe that drilling a hole somewhere is supposed to help?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You need to remove your headlight covers very tricky! and have them resealed
do a search for resealing headlight covers Iam sure theirs plenty of topics

Hello...

I had the same problem and got a bodyshop to take lenses out and re-seal. One was sorted but the other steamed up again (tiny amount). I drilled a tiny hole on the underside of the light and that sorted it out...

Ah that's interesting.... So where did you drill the hole? Any pics?

how does drilling a hole help? Apart from "airing" the headlight? When you have drilled the hole does this not add to the problem? I have searched this forum for any info but it all seems a bit vague. I need fix it as it is getting worse everyday.....................

I have spoken to Automedon about this, they were very very helpful. I have been told that i need to remove the headlight and drill some holes at the very top of the light once the headlight is removed. However it seems very likely that i will break the headlight upon removal! So does anybody know where i can get a drivers side front headlight? Thanks

Why not get Automedon to do the job for you, They did mine front and rear a couple of years ago and made a splendid job, no condensation since.

Well after speaking to Automeadon there are no T350 headlights available - anywhere! So I am reluctant to have it done as they said there is a high chance of them breaking upon removal. I also like to do work on the car myself as it's half the fun of owning a TVR! So if anyone can point me in the right direction of headlights I would be very grateful.Cheers

I guess you're actually talking about the headlight covers/lenses. I got a spare set from Patricia Bickmore (PH tuscans0_0) about 1,5 years ago - was in the classifieds. You might want to try her.
