Red imobiliser light wont light and car wont start??!!

Man in need of help please!

I have not used the car for a few weeks (03 Tam). The batt was flat when I came to start it... its fully charged now and all seems to be well, milage is there etc etc... however it wont kick in the starter motor? The imobiliser light is never on despite playing with the key and the key fob??? The alarm works though, its just the imobiliser?

Any ideas?
