Do you think that the remaining TVR people (RG, TVR Power, St8 Six, APM etc), would actually be able to survive without cyberspace, and the indirect marketing people employ on behalf of them?

IMO you're fairly likely to have a pretty optimum map in, with a RR engine, which Dom and others will point out I'm sure. Some advise that there is too much 'advance' in the RR maps, so could be some extra engine life to be gained in reducing it.

But they're not like mainstream cars that have huge tolerances and safety margins in the original map, allowing big gains with a more optimised map. TVR went as far as they could!

That was the advice I had, and what I found in practice, when I had my map changed by Power with the original engine - not a noticeable difference.

Then I went for engine & exhaust mods, which then of course DID make a remap essential
