Hot Footwell... ok to close the hidden vents?

After a longish journey the passenger foot well seems to get incredibly hot, not that it bothers me too much but passenger gets a bit roasted! I only realised recently that there are two air vents in the foot well (T350) and this is presumable where the majority of heat is coming from... do you think it's ok to shut these off?

(as far as i can work out there are 7 air vents, two up top of dash, two in front of dash - either side), 1 in drivers footwell, 2 in passenger footwell).

I don't think the aircon pumps out through these 'hidden' vents, i'll have to try it again.

Yes fine to shut one or both of these; like in any other car you'll just get a stronger flow to the remaining vents.
