Help Gear Stick

Out driving this morning in the T350 and I started to get a rattle from the gear stick and it seems the stick has come away from the gear box?? I can drive it okay, but if I lift the stick it just lifts straight up and it feelslike I can pull it straight out of the gayter, it doesn't seem to want to screw back on or anything, any ideas??

There is a grub screw at the bottom of the stick. I have modified mine to accept a bolt, it's much more secure.

That is a bloody good idea, because mine constantly keeps coming loose and rattles, which is most annoying.
