Oil pressure on start up

Hi all. Is this normal? When I first start the car from cold I get a low oil pressure fault for around 0.5 - 1 sec then it clears. I have checked the level and is halfway between min and max

Doesn't do it everytime so wondered if this is OK / normal?

Should be OK as it takes a second or so for the oil to start flowing past the sensor. When warn what is the ile pressure then?

Yeah mine shows low pressure for a second on start up, but quickly increases to normal pressure.

Yea, same for mine.. mine reads about 51->53psi on cold start-up up there is a bit of variation in the sensors (from the various threads I`ve read.)

I get the low pressure warning too on start up after a second or so its fine 58-63 PSI. As others have said I think it takes time for the sensor to register

I used to get the same issue,oil warning at start-up, also used to get 50-60 psi cold.

Once i bought the newer (Mine being an 03 car), oil pressure sender, the problem went away then got a cold pressure of between 40-50psi.

Not sure what the norm is, but getting new oil rotors fitted at the mo, so i'll report back on pressures once fitted.

I always get a low oil pressure warning immediately on startup, then disappears quickly as you see the pressure build up. Mine settles at the high 60s psi on idle at cold after a few seconds.
